I've owned all four of the Big 4 Japanese bikes and KTM's since the early '90's. KTM's and Yamaha's have been deadly reliable for me. Kawi, Suzi and Honda ...I'll never own another.

I know people who won't wear the Dainese leathers because their insignia / symbol looks evil...satanic. My wife won't wear it and contacted them.

check your gas cap and make sure it is venting. Could be the reason it shut off while riding.

Man you are so right. I have a 2020 KTM 690 Enduro R and out of the 6 different bikes I have owned this is head and shoulders above them.

Im 155 cm 5 foot 1 i think. I was scared of supermotos I started with a pit bike, an apollo x18 with a seat height of 34 inches I did struggle at the beginning but just like the video says once I started getting comfortable I didn't care that I had to lean to one side when stopping. Nowadays I finally owns a ktm supermoto 125. If I could achieve it, anyone taller than 155 cm can also :P

I now ride a KTM 890 adventure, and I’ll be throwing down on that bike on the street and dirt… Still rocking and rolling after all these years. I like the stock look and the custom look. It is a good looking bike. There are some beautiful super motos out there. They just all look like a motorcycle should.

I have a 2000 KTM Duke 2 along with several other supermotos. You be surprised how well 17” street tires will do off road! Go ride it with slicks!

Everytime i get a tightass torx bolt, it doesn't strip the bolt it strips my shitty torx wrench. Good luck with tightass small screws! 😅

Bikes have one thing in common with ag tractors that farmers buy. No matter how popular or unpopular a brand is, it boils down to the service after you get item first from the dealer then the factory. The dealer can often make or break a brand.

HD: Yesterday's technology today at tomorrow's prices. In 2008 when I was looking at getting my first bike I wanted a 883 (guess how that conversation went with the dealer) end up on at Honda and on a CBR600RR. 2023 was the first time I rode a HD because a friend wanted me to try a 'real man's bike' and not a 'toy'. The handling sucked but the torque was good. I will never own a HD because they do not cater to my riding style. Also ever snobby rider I have ever meet were HD riders. Even the superbike riders were nice and welcoming. Motorcyclists want to have fun and enjoy the road, HD riders want to look down people or so they make it seem.

Why comparing your supermoto with the naked bike beast ? no sense at all . Compare your Jap to a KTM 690 SMC R .

I had a Honda and a few Yamahas before which were great, but since I got my first KTM in 2016 I have been loyal to the brand.

Supermotos are so much fun! I converted my old ktm 525exc and it's awesome!

I'm down here in central Ohio and yeah Ohio is a pretty good place to live. It's really hard to find another spot in the nation with as many features and still be affordable.

I have an 02 520 exc, and an 06 450 exc dual sport. Both have been very reliable, and easy to work on. Maybe you are buying bikes that are too finicky, and complicated. The latest and greatest isn't always what it's cracked up to be.

I love my Keeway for cruising in the countryside but got an cyclone RT1 for daily driving in town.

What cell phone mount are you using with the 690?

That OEM tool kit is dope for sure.
